The 2020 vintage is one of contrasts.
The winter was exceptionally rainy. Spring was hot and humid, almost tropical. Downy mildew thrived. Early flowering varied depending on the grape variety, terroir, and weather conditions at the time.
Then, just before summer, the rain stopped, giving way to dry and fairly mild weather until the onset of veraison. From that point on, heat—at times intense—dominated the season. The thunderstorms in mid-August were necessary and allowed the vines to continue their growth cycle through harvest. At times irregular flowering and extremely dry conditions resulted in rather low yields in most cases.
Harvested early, the grapes were fully ripe and produce generous wines.

Subtle aromas of black cherries and wild berries invite you to take a sip. The palate is characterized by a soft texture and a fairly smooth attack. In the background, a tighter, more restrained tannic structure brings tension and verticality, creating a sense of channeled energy. It has a lovely length supported by a light, skillfully balanced oakiness. Peak drinking years: 2025–2028.
