  • Even better than last year. Fresh and taut like a classic Burgundy wine. It does not hide its fresh notes of garrigue (herbs) but plays with them. The alcohol, acidity and tannins are in perfect balance with each other.<\/p>

  • A balsamic touch from the oak, fermented aromas due to natural strains, notes of Morello cherry. After aeration, more like thyme than violet. The structure in the mouth is solid, dense, the tannins are plump and juicy, the evolution is fleshy, with mineral notes. Very precise, and a natural balance that brings a nice verticality.<\/p>

  • A pure, racy version, with a lovely floral edge to the blood orange, cherry and red currant fruit flowing atop the finely beaded acidity. Offers a long, elegant finish. Very charming.<\/p>

    FROM 1931 TO THE FUTURE<\/h2>\n

    Ch\u00e2teau Fonroque is the old Saint-Emilion home of the Moueix family and has been owned by the Guillard family since 2017<\/h4>\n

    [\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”10″][vc_column_text el_class=”justif”]The chateau was acquired by Ad\u00e8le and Jean Moueix in 1931. Their great-grandson Alain Moueix inherited the estate from his father and ran it until 2001. He immediately began using (and gained certification for) an approach that places organic intelligence and observation at the heart of vineyard progress \u2013 biodynamics.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent” up=”20″ down=”30″][vc_column_text el_class=”justif”]Alain Moueix<\/strong> is an agricultural engineer and oenologist. Fostering harmonious resonance across his generous twenty hectares of land remains a top priority for him. The huge attention he pays to soil sustainability and showcasing terroir continues to grow, fed by study of organic phenomena and their pragmatic applications. His aim is to reveal the wines\u2019 radiance and balance using mindful methods. Eighteen years of work with Bordeaux trade and numerous years of enthusiastic and exploratory research have changed the estate and those who live there, with conversion to organic and then biodynamic cultivation. This patient, passionate adventure has resulted in the charming estate gaining the status of the first ever Grand Cru Class\u00e9 to hold biodynamic certification<\/strong>. It makes a very fine Saint-Emilion wine with a growing international reach and reputation.<\/p>\n
